James MacGregor
James MacGregor is a co-founder of Abernath MacGregor and has previously been its managing partner and its president. He works closely with clients on corporate and communications strategies that relate to crisis management, investor relations, corporate governance and best practices in communication. He leads the firm’s effort to generate new concepts and new content in its practice areas. He writes and speaks frequently on trends and issues in communications.
Earlier in his career, Jim was a reporter and editor at The Wall Street Journal and an executive at CBS Inc. and American Broadcasting Cos. He studied economics at Princeton University and business administration at Case Western Reserve School of Management. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He is a board member (and present or past chairman) of nonprofits devoted to environmental citizenship, college journalism and experimental arts, and has authored two published books of non-fiction.
