John Popeo

John Popeo is a principal at The Gallatin Group, a consulting firm that advises investment firms, financial institutions, and technology companies on financial regulatory and transactional matters. Prior to Gallatin, Popeo was a senior associate in the financial institutions group (FIG) at Hogan Lovells US LLP. He spent a decade in various roles at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and the FDIC, where he was part of a task force that drafted regulations to implement the Dodd-Frank Act and led deals to sell and unwind more than 40 failing banks during the 2008 financial crisis.
