Ben Maiden, editor-at-large, Corporate Secretary
Ben Maiden is the editor-a-large of Corporate Secretary, having joined the company in December 2016. He is based in New York. He had previously been managing editor of Compliance Reporter since January 2007, covering regulatory and compliance issues affecting broker-dealers and asset management firms. Before that, Ben was editor of International Financial Law Review and IFLR’s Americas editor, working in London and New York.
Stephanie Brown Cripps, counsel, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer US
Stephanie Brown Cripps is counsel in the New York office of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer US LLP, and her legal practice includes advising large multinational corporations in connection with the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, US anti-money laundering law, US economic sanctions, export and defense trade controls, and global business and human rights. Stephanie collaborates with clients to manage risk, enhance compliance, and investigate potential compliance issues, including in the context of mergers and acquisitions and corporate and finance transactions.
She joined Freshfields in 2008 and earned her JD at the New York University School of Law where she was an editor of the Journal of International Law and Politics. She received her BA, magna cum laude, from Yale University. She has been a Vice-Chair of the American Bar Association’s Export Controls and Economic Sanctions Committee of the Section of International Law for many years and is an active member of the OFAC Practitioners Group.
Kari Endries, assistant secretary and managing counsel, Chevron Corporation
Ms. Endries is Assistant Secretary and Managing Counsel of Chevron Corporation, focusing on corporate governance, subsidiary management, delegation of authority, the Executive Committee, and the Public Policy and Sustainability Committee of the Board of Directors. She joined Chevron in 2005 after Chevron's acquisition of Unocal Corporation, in which she was also an Assistant Secretary and corporate attorney since 2000.
Ms. Endries was a member of the national Board of Directors of the Society for Corporate Governance from 2011 – 2015, is currently President of its Northern California, Nevada and Hawaii Chapter (and previous President from 2009 – 2010) and is currently a member of that chapter’s advisory committee. She was Chair of the 2019 National Conference and was Chair of the 2012 Western Essentials and Regional Conference of the Society and is a frequent speaker on corporate law and governance topics.
Ms. Endries is currently the Program Chair of the Corporate and Securities Law Network of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) and is incoming Secretary for the 2021-2022 fiscal year.
Ms. Endries earned a B.A. in journalism and English from the University of Southern California and a J.D. from Southern Methodist University School of Law. She is a member of the California, Maryland and Washington, D.C. Bars as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Andrew Moore, president, governance services, Computershare
Andrew Moore has been at the forefront of international governance and compliance technology markets for over twenty years. Over that time, Andrew has been a recognized influencer in subsidiary governance, entity management software, board portals and other compliance technology matters in both North America and Europe.
As head of Computershare’s Governance Services global divisions, Andrew heads up the international teams responsible for maintaining the compliance technology solutions for over eight hundred global companies. Computershare is the largest provider of subsidiary governance solutions in the market today.
Andrew is based out of Computershare’s Jersey City offices. Computershare is a publicly held company, listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX:CPU).
