Ben Maiden, editor-at-large, Governance Intelligence
Ben Maiden is the editor-at-large of Governance Intelligence, having joined the company in December 2016. He is based in New York. He had previously been managing editor of Compliance Reporter since January 2007, covering regulatory and compliance issues affecting broker-dealers and asset management firms. Before that, Ben was editor of International Financial Law Review and IFLR’s Americas editor, working in London and New York.

James Harley, principal product manager, Nasdaq 
James is Principal Product Manager within the Nasdaq Governance Solutions team. He has 19 years of experience within corporate governance and has extensive knowledge of regulation, legislation and corporate governance processes, inclusive of emerging cybersecurity and technology trends. With a diverse background in both the public and private sectors across corporate governance, company secretarial, sales and client relationship management, James consistently demonstrates an ability to adapt to ever changing environments with confidence, flexibility and ease.

Ki Hoon Kim, associate general counsel, Hewlett Packard Enterprise
Ki Hoon Kim is an Associate General Counsel at Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company, a global edge-to-cloud company that helps organizations accelerate outcomes by unlocking value from all of their data, everywhere. Ki Hoon’s current practice spans corporate governance, securities financings, ongoing public company reporting obligations, shareholder engagement and board support. Previously, Ki Hoon practiced law as an associate in the life sciences practice group and an associate in the capital markets practice group of international law firms in New York City.

Usman Sheikh, partner and chair of the blockchain & fintech practice group, Baker & McKenzie 
Usman Sheikh is chair of the emerging tech & fintech practice at Baker & McKenzie. He is a transactional partner in the firm’s Toronto office and is also a member of the firm's litigation and government enforcement practice group. In 2018, Usman was named as one of the ‘Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers’ in Canada by Canadian Lawyer and for five consecutive years (2020 to 2024) as one of the top fintech lawyers (Band 1) in Canada by Chambers. Usman regularly advises clients on fintech, blockchain, AI and quantum computing strategy, including on corporate/commercial, regulatory and litigation matters. Over the years, his clients have included Canada's largest banks and stock exchanges, supranational organizations, social media platforms, sovereign wealth funds, public companies, crypto and AI pioneers, and more. He routinely interacts with regulators on cutting edge issues (eg AI, blockchain, IoT etc) such as the Bank for International Settlements, the Financial Stability Board, IOSCO, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and others, and also speaks frequently on these issues. Since 2019, Usman has served as an adjunct professor with the University of Toronto (Faculty of Law) and teaches a course on emerging technology.
