Ben Maiden, editor-at-large, Corporate Secretary
Ben Maiden is the editor-a-large of Corporate Secretary, having joined the company in December 2016. He is based in New York. He had previously been managing editor of Compliance Reporter since January 2007, covering regulatory and compliance issues affecting broker-dealers and asset management firms. Before that, Ben was  editor of International Financial Law Review and IFLR’s Americas editor, working in London and New York.

Kari Endries, assistant secretary and managing counsel, Chevron Corporation
Ms. Endries is Assistant Secretary and Managing Counsel of Chevron Corporation, focusing on corporate governance, subsidiary management, delegation of authority, the Executive Committee, and the Public Policy Committee of the Board of Directors.  She joined Chevron in 2005 after Chevron's acquisition of Unocal Corporation, in which she was also an Assistant Secretary and corporate attorney.  

Ms. Endries was a member of the Board of Directors of the Society for Corporate Governance from 2011 – 2015, was President of its Northern California Chapter from 2009 – 2010, and is currently a member of that chapter’s advisory committee.  She was Chair of the 2019 National Conference and was Chair of the 2012 Western Essentials and Regional Conference of the Society and is a frequent speaker on corporate law and governance topics.

Ms. Endries earned a B.A. in journalism and English from the University of Southern California and a J.D. from Southern Methodist University School of Law.  She is a member of the California, Maryland and Washington, D.C. Bars as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Natalie De La Cruz-Valdes, global head, managed services, Computershare Governance Services
Natalie is the Global Head of Global Managed Services at Computershare and has over 13 years’ experience in professional service, having previously led global managed service delivery teams at Eversheds and EY.

Natalie has acted as global client account director for a number of Fortune 500 and FTSE350 clients across a multitude of sectors.

She has also led on a number of high profile spin-off and group re-organisation projects, including process design, step-plan management and cross-functional PMO activities.  

Natalie has been part of the digital transformation agenda to provide clients with governance and compliance insights, through better online access to data, analytics and reporting.
