Ben Maiden is the editor-a-large of Corporate Secretary, having joined the company in December 2016. He is based in New York. He had previously been managing editor of Compliance Reporter since January 2007, covering regulatory and compliance issues affecting broker-dealers and asset management firms. Before that, Ben was editor of International Financial Law Review and IFLR’s Americas editor, working in London and New York.

Susan Baker, shareholder advocate, Trillium Asset Management
Susan leads shareholder advocacy efforts on behalf of Trillium clients which has led to dozens of successfully negotiated agreements on a wide range of environmental, social and governance issues. She began her career at the Harvard Management Company and later moved to Trillium where she held portfolio manager and equity research analyst responsibilities for more than a decade. After working outside the investment industry for six years she rejoined Trillium in 2006. Susan has served on the Boards of Trillium Asset Management, the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility, The Thirty Percent Coalition and is past chair and treasurer of Pesticide Action Network, North America. She holds degrees from Middlebury College and the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Christopher Ward, VP client solutions, EQ
Christopher (Chris) Ward is the vice president of Client Solutions for EQ. In this role, Chris is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through implementation of stock transfer, corporate action, proxy services and equity compensation products. Chris joined EQ in 2009. Prior to his current role, Chris worked in relationship management supporting clients completing mergers, acquisitions, Initial Public Offerings, and other corporate events.
Chris has a bachelor of science in business administration from Drake University and resides in Minnesota with his wife and two children.
