Mark McGregor yesterday began his new role as the chief financial officer and corporate secretary of Ampio Pharmaceuticals, a $49 million Colorado-based drug developer.
McGregor replaces Bruce Miller, who had served as the company’s CFO and corporate secretary since April 2010 and will be working toward the commercialization of a product that Ampio obtained through its acquisition of DMI BioSciences.
A certified public accountant, McGregor boasts extensive experience in several areas, including risk management and SEC reporting, according to a press release. His 30-year career includes a stint as the vice president, corporate treasurer and corporate development at Storage Technology Corporation, a public company with $2 billion in annual worldwide revenues.
