FUJIFILM Holdings America has appointed Sarah Karlgaard as vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary.
She joins Fujifilm’s Americas regional headquarters, which represents 27 subsidiaries in the US, Canada, Brazil and Colombia.
Karlgaard most recently was general counsel and chief compliance officer at Canon Medical Informatics. According to her LinkedIn profile, she previously spent more than five years with Allina Health, latterly as senior associate general counsel. Her other legal experience include being an associate general counsel at Optum Insight (formerly Ingenix).
According to Fujifilm, Karlgaard specializes in areas such as digital health, health IT, medical devices, life sciences, fraud and abuse compliance, privacy and cyber-security.
Fujifilm’s Americas portfolio covers industries including medical and life sciences, electronic, chemical, graphic arts, information systems, industrial products, broadcast, recording media and photography. The company also announced that it has hired Sean McCaffrey as vice president of operations.
