Tim Fitzpatrick has taken over as chief compliance officer (CCO) of Toronto-based LOGiQ Asset Management and some of its subsidiaries, succeeding Terence Lui, who will continue to work at LOGiQ as vice president and general counsel.
Fitzpatrick joined LOGiQ from asset management firm Goodman & Company, Investment Counsel, where he served as CCO. Earlier in his career, he was a senior compliance officer for Mackenzie Financial Corporation and a compliance and investor inquiries officer at the Ontario Securities Commission.

LOGiQ manages a range of retail mutual funds, closed-end funds, hedge funds and pooled funds, and also provides segregated institutional managed accounts and institutional advisory sales. According to the firm, it has roughly C$4.8 billion ($3.6 billion) in assets under management or advisement and institutional advisory sales-related fee-earning arrangements that are not managed or advised.
‘We are pleased to welcome Mr Fitzpatrick to the LOGiQ team,’ says president and CEO Joe Canavan in a statement. ‘His thorough knowledge of the investment industry and compliance practices and regulations reinforces our commitment to the highest standards of integrity and business conduct.’
