WSFS Bank, the primary subsidiary of Nasdaq-listed WSFS Financial Corporation, has recruited Lisa Washington as senior vice president and the bank’s first chief legal officer (CLO).
As CLO, Washington oversees WSFS’ enterprise-wide legal operations and reports to executive vice president and chief risk officer Paul Greenplate.
Washington previously worked at Philadelphia-based Atlas Energy Group as vice president, CLO and corporate secretary. She spent 13 years with Atlas and its predecessors, serving as a member of the executive management team and being responsible for all legal, corporate governance and compliance matters. Before joining Atlas, she was an associate with Blank Rome and an associate at Fox Rothschild.
‘WSFS has expanded and grown significantly in recent years, becoming the largest bank headquartered in Greater Philadelphia and the Delaware Valley,’ Greenplate says in a statement. ‘Today, our bank is more complex with a larger franchise and balance sheet. Lisa will further bolster our legal team, and her expertise and leadership will help us meet the growing needs of our organization.’
WSFS Bank describes itself as the oldest and largest locally managed bank and trust company headquartered in Delaware and the Delaware Valley.
