Catherine McKnight succeeds Sharon Wood, who is retiring
Dallas-based Access Healthcare has appointed Catherine McKnight as its new general counsel.
In her new role, which she started on May 1, McKnight is responsible for managing all legal and regulatory matters for the company. She reports to Access Healthcare chair Anurag Jain. According to the company, McKnight has extensive experience in corporate governance, risk management, healthcare regulatory compliance, acquisitions and joint ventures, outsourcing and software licensing, strategic initiatives and new business ventures.
McKnight is taking the reins from Sharon Wood, who is retiring shortly. ‘We respect Sharon’s tenure with the organization and her contribution to our growth,’ a spokesperson says.
Before joining the company, McKnight served as associate general counsel for Children’s Health System of Texas. Prior to that, she was assistant general counsel for VHA (now Vizient), providing legal counsel to its subsidiary, Provista. She has also served as vice president and assistant general counsel for Concentra.
A Children’s Health System of Texas spokesperson did not respond immediately to a request for comment.
