Accel appoints Scott Levin as chief legal officer

Former Morton's Restaurant Group and Torex Retail general counsel will start immediately

In his new role, effective immediately, Levin will oversee all the company’s legal affairs and guide the legal side of Accel’s expansion.

He succeeds Accel’s current general counsel and chief compliance officer Derek Harmer, who will stay with the company as its first dedicated chief compliance officer.

Levin has a diverse legal background, having previously worked across several industries as general counsel. He has served as general counsel for Morton’s Restaurant Group and Torex Retail, as well as for start-ups including Atlas Power Group, Coskata, EMac Digital and OurHouse.
