Kline’s job with Go Daddy includes helping the company expand internationally.
Andrew Kline, a former adviser to the Obama White House, recently joined the ‘Do the Right Thing’ team at internet domain registrar and web hosting giant, Go Daddy.
Kline, the new deputy general counsel for the company’s Global Policy division, started in his position on Monday.
Go Daddy says Kline will assist in the company’s global expansion efforts and continue to protect the Scottsdale-based firm against illegal activities such as fraudulent internet pharmacies and copyright infringement.
Most recently, the former federal prosecutor served as chief of staff and senior adviser in the Office of Intellectual Property Enforcement in the Executive Office of the President. Additionally, Kline, who has spent many years focused on internet enforcement issues, worked as a senior policy adviser in the Office of the Vice President. Prior to his tenure at the White House, Kline worked as counsel to then-Senator Biden on the United States Senate Judiciary Committee. He was also a federal prosecutor for 14 years.

Kline will be based in Washington, and joins Martha Johnston, vice president for Government Relations, who started with Go Daddy in December of 2005.
