Kraft Heinz appoints new general counsel

Angel Shelton Willis is joining from Sealed Air Corporation

The Kraft Heinz Company has recruited Angel Shelton Willis as executive vice president, global general counsel and corporate affairs officer, effective November 18.

Willis is joining Kraft Heinz from Sealed Air Corporation where she has been vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary leading the company’s global legal, ethics and compliance, regulatory and corporate affairs functions since 2019.

She previously spent more than 14 years at Ingersoll Rand Company (now Trane Technologies) where she held several roles, most recently as vice president and general counsel for Europe, Middle East, India and Africa and vice president and deputy general counsel for M&A, finance and restructuring.

Before that Willis was corporate counsel at Cummins and an associate at Ice Miller. She is also an independent director on the board of SPX Technologies.

Rashida La Lande was chief legal and corporate affairs officer at Kraft Heinz until joining The Estée Lauder Companies as executive vice president and general counsel, effective August 19.

Carlos Abrams-Rivera, CEO of Kraft Heinz, says in a statement: ‘Welcoming Angel to our leadership team is an important step for [the company] as we continue our transformation journey. [She] embodies our culture of ownership and her deep legal and corporate affairs expertise, along with her strategic vision, will strengthen our legal framework and further enable our 10-year strategy.’
