Nasdaq-listed Myriad Genetics has appointed Pamela Wong as its new chief legal officer.
In her new position, Wong leads the company’s legal function, including support and counsel for legal affairs, intellectual property (IP), patent protection, M&A, litigation, regulatory and quality assurance, compliance and government affairs. She reports to Myriad Genetics president and CEO Paul Diaz.
Wong joined Myriad Genetics from Quest Diagnostics where she spent 14 years, most recently as assistant general counsel. According to her LinkedIn profile, she was divisional general counsel for Quest’s clinical business, supporting commercial, operational and R&D teams and responsible for supporting business efforts in companion diagnostics, marketing, branding and medical affairs.
Before her time at Quest, Wong worked for eight years at Baker & McKenzie, where she was an IP partner, and three years at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman.
Myriad Genetics is a genetic testing and precision medicine company. It describes Wong as having experience in global IP portfolio development, management and enforcement, risk mitigation and negotiating complex commercial licensing agreements.
