Gina Brickley Beredo will become the new vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of Nordson Corporation at the end of the year.
Beredo will be promoted to her new position and serve as an executive officer of the company following the retirement of Robert Veillette on December 31 after 32 years of service with Nordson. Beredo has served as deputy general counsel and assistant corporate secretary since joining the company in 2013.
At present, she oversees the company’s legal function in global M&A, corporate governance, ethics and compliance, litigation and other general corporate legal matters. Before joining Nordson, she served as chief litigation counsel and director of compliance and ethics at American Greetings.
Nordson engineers, manufactures and markets products and systems used for dispensing adhesives, coatings, sealants, biomaterials, polymers and plastics, among other things. It is based in Westlake, Ohio with operations and support offices in more than 35 countries, according to the company.
Veillette joined Nordson as a corporate attorney in 1985 and has led the company’s general and intellectual property law functions since 2000. He was elected vice president, general counsel and secretary in 2007. ‘For more than three decades, Bob has been a valued and trusted strategic adviser to our management team and board of directors,’ Nordson president and CEO Michael Hilton says in a statement. ‘Nordson’s revenues grew from approximately $140 million to nearly $2 billion during Bob’s tenure, and his invaluable counsel was crucial to our success at many points along that profitable growth journey.
‘Gina has been a consummate corporate and business partner since joining our team, and she has quickly earned the full confidence of our board and leadership.’
