Enterprise cloud computing company Nutanix has recruited Tyler Wall as its new chief legal officer (CLO).
Wall, who joined the firm on November 27, was most recently senior vice president and general counsel at Red Book Connect (now known as HotSchedules) in San Francisco. Before that, he was vice president, general counsel, chief compliance officer and corporate secretary at Brocade, a role in which he led a team of 30 attorneys, contract managers and compliance staff.
A spokesperson for HotSchedules did not respond immediately to a request for comment.
According to a Nutanix statement, Wall has also held senior leadership positions at software companies including vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary at Chordiant Software and corporate counsel at Oracle.
He is based in the Nutanix headquarters in San Jose, California, and reports to Nutanix chair, CEO and founder Dheeraj Pandey. The CLO role was previously held by Eric Whitaker, who left the firm this summer to join a life sciences company, according to a spokesperson.Â
‘Tyler is one of the rare legal professionals who has had a true strategic voice in pioneering change,’ Pandey says in a statement. ‘As we diversify our go-to-market strategy from appliances to software to cloud services, we will need a leader like him to oversee trust, transparency and compliance with our customers, employees, partners, regulators and investors.’
‘I am looking forward to working closely with the executive leadership team and bringing my experience to the table at Nutanix to help the company through its next phase of growth,’ Wall says in a statement. ‘Leading the legal function of a company this size and at this rate of growth is an exciting challenge and opportunity.’
