Boston, Massachusetts-based medical company Renovia has promoted Jim O’Connor to general counsel and senior vice president for strategic development, effective immediately.
O’Connor joined Renovia as general counsel in February 2018 and has been leading the company’s legal, compliance, quality and regulatory functions. The promotion expands his role to also include corporate business development, manufacturing, program management and overseeing Renovia’s finance team. He will further assist in identifying and implementing programs to improve organizational efficiency and execution.
Before joining Renovia, O’Connor worked for 12 years at United Technologies Corp in legal and business roles. He also served as senior counsel at Noble Environmental Power, a renewable energy developer, where his work focused on project finance, regulatory and employment law matters. He began his legal career at Testa Hurwitz & Thibeault, where his practice focused on securities law, M&A and licensing transactions for private and publicly traded technology companies.
Renovia was formed to develop and commercialize products for better first-line diagnosis and treatment to aid women with pelvic floor disorders.
