Enterprise software company Sprinklr has appointed Jacob Scott as general counsel and corporate secretary, effective March 16.
In his new role, Scott will report to founder and CEO Ragy Thomas. Scott will succeed Dan Haley, who has been Sprinklr general counsel and corporate secretary since 2019 and is moving to a new opportunity after March 15, according to the company. It could not be immediately determined where Haley is moving to.
Scott is being promoted from the role of deputy general counsel and chief compliance officer at Sprinklr. In that capacity he has been supporting Haley and the Sprinklr executive team on governance and corporate law matters. Among other things, he has helped the company through its June 2021 IPO.
Before joining Sprinklr, Scott was assistant general counsel for athenahealth. In that role he ‘helped build and scale a legal team that helped the company successfully manage risks associated with litigation and highly regulated information, enabled and empowered growth and helped to ensure compliance with legal and ethical obligations,’ according to Sprinklr.
Before joining Sprinklr, Haley held leadership positions at athenahealth, most recently as senior vice president and chief legal and administrative officer. He was previously a partner at law firm McDermott Will & Emery.
Thomas says in a statement: ‘We want to thank Dan for all that he helped Sprinklr achieve and we welcome Jacob to our executive leadership team as general counsel and corporate secretary. Jacob played an integral role in preparing Sprinklr for life as a public company… [W]e are grateful for Dan’s contributions, which include preparing Jacob for this smooth and seamless transition to help Sprinklr achieve our next level of success.’
