Tesla has appointed Brandon Ehrhart as general counsel and corporate secretary.
In a tweet, the company says: ‘Excited to have Brandon Ehrhart join the Tesla team as our general counsel & to have Dinna Eskin continue in a leadership role in Tesla Legal as we build a world class team!’
According to his LinkedIn profile, Ehrhart previously spent more than 20 years at Dish Network, most recently as executive vice president and corporate secretary for Dish Network and general counsel for Dish Wireless. The profile states that his experience includes Dish’s 2020 acquisition of Boost Mobile and a related consent decree issued by the US Department of Justice.
Before joining Dish, Ehrhart spent more than four years at EchoStar Corporation, most of them as vice president, associate general counsel and assistant secretary. Before going in-house, he was an associate in the corporate and securities group at DLA Piper (formerly Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich).
Derek Windham joined Tesla last summer as deputy general counsel for corporate and securities. He was previously vice president, associate general counsel and assistant corporate secretary at Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
