Waters promotes successor to retiring general counsel

NYSE-listed Waters Corporation is promoting Keeley Aleman to become senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary, and a member of the company’s executive committee, effective from the start of next month.

Aleman is at present vice president, deputy general counsel and assistant secretary. She will succeed Mark Beaudouin, who is retiring after leading the Waters legal team for 16 years. According to the company, Beaudouin will remain with the company in an advisory role before retiring at the end of the year.

Aleman joined Milford, Massachusetts-based Waters in 2006 as assistant general counsel having previously worked as a corporate attorney at law firms Goodwin Procter and Testa Hurwitz & Thibeault. She has worked at Waters on business transactions, commercial strategies, international development, compliance, corporate governance and organizational matters. She has also been co-chair of Waters’ first formal diversity engagement initiative.

During his career at the company, Beaudouin has been involved with the company’s globalization, governance structure, advising the board of directors and creating regulatory and government affairs functions.
