Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) has hired Ava Hahn as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary.
Hahn previously worked at Lam Research, where she was chief legal officer with responsibility for global legal and governmental affairs. Before joining Lam, she was executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary at CA Technologies, now part of Broadcom, having earlier in her career been general counsel and corporate secretary at Aruba Networks, which is now part of Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
During her career, Hahn has also been general counsel with venture capital firms Kleiner Perkins, formerly Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, and Felicis Ventures. According to her LinkedIn profile, before moving in-house she was an attorney with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich Rosati.Â
In her new role, Hahn oversees AMD’s global legal and corporate governance matters, ethics and compliance programs and public affairs. She succeeds Harry Wolin, who is retiring from AMD after 24 years with the technology company.
AMD chair and CEO Dr Lisa Su says in a statement: ‘I want to thank Harry for the role he has played leading our legal, government relations and public affairs teams during a period of significant growth and transformation. I am excited to welcome Ava to AMD. Her extensive experience leading legal functions for multiple technology companies will be an invaluable asset as we enter our next phase of growth.’
