AMN Healthcare names successor to CLO

Denise Jackson to retire in August

AMN Healthcare Services is promoting Whitney Laughlin to become corporate secretary and chief legal officer (CLO), effective August 19.

Laughlin joined AMN in 2006 and is at present deputy general counsel and assistant corporate secretary, having previously been senior corporate counsel and corporate counsel with the company. According to her LinkedIn profile, before moving to AMN she was a partner at law firm Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith where her litigation practice focused on employment law and professional liability defense, including class action and multi-party litigation.

Laughlin will succeed Denise Jackson, who is retiring as corporate secretary and CLO. Jackson joined AMN in October 2000 and is responsible for the company’s legal, corporate governance, privacy and compliance, equity compensation strategies, risk management, real estate and government and community affairs functions.

From 1995 to September 2000, Jackson worked for The Mills Corporation, during which period she became vice president and senior counsel. According to her LinkedIn profile, she is corporate governance chair and a member of the audit committee of Tractor Supply Company’s board. She is also a member of PipelineRx’s board.

Landry Seedig, group president for nursing and allied solutions at AMN, will also retire in August. Robin Johnson will be promoted as successor. Johnson has been division president for allied staffing solutions for the past six years.
