NYSE-listed Ashland Global Holdings has released details of the succession plan for its general counsel, Peter Ganz.
Ganz, currently senior vice president, general counsel, secretary, chief legal and compliance officer, has decided to retire from Ashland at the end of 2020. Yvonne Winkler von Mohrenfels has been chosen to become general counsel and secretary, effective January 1, 2021. In the meantime she will be deputy general counsel, effective May 22, to ‘support a smooth transition,’ according to the company.
Ganz joined Ashland in 2011 and has since been responsible for managing the company’s legal and corporate governance matters and overseeing the company’s ethics and compliance, government relations, risk and insurance and real estate functions.
He was previously a partner with law firm Sedgwick. From 2005 to 2010 he served as executive vice president, general counsel and secretary of Foster Wheeler. Before that he was senior vice president, general counsel and secretary of G-I Holdings (formerly GAF Corp) and of its affiliate, International Specialty Products.
Winkler von Mohrenfels joined the company in 2009 having previously held senior legal positions at chemicals, specialty materials and pharmaceutical companies. Â
Wilmington, Delaware-based Ashland is a specialty materials company operating in consumer and industrial markets such as adhesives, architectural coatings, automotive, construction, energy, food and beverage, nutraceuticals, personal care and pharmaceuticals.
