Eaton recruits new general counsel

April Miller Boise has joined power management company Eaton as executive vice president and general counsel, effective January 6.

Miller Boise was most recently senior vice president, chief legal officer and corporate secretary for Meritor. Previous roles include: general counsel, head of global M&A and corporate secretary at Avintiv; general counsel, corporate secretary and chief privacy officer at Veyance Technologies; and executive committee member and managing partner of the Cleveland, Ohio, office of law firm Thompson Hine.

Miller Boise succeeds Heath Monesmith, who became president and COO for Eaton’s industrial sector in July 2019, according to a company spokesperson.

In her new role, Miller Boise serves as counsel to Eaton’s executive management team and board of directors. She also heads up the company’s global legal organization, including the corporate governance and compliance functions.

Eaton’s corporate headquarters are in Dublin, Ireland and its operational headquarters in Ohio. According to the company, Miller Boise and her family will relocate from Troy, Michigan to Cleveland, Ohio.
