Vaishali Bhatia, executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of HF Sinclair Corporation, is stepping down next month.
According to an SEC filing, Bhatia told the company’s board she will resign, effective March 15, 2024, to pursue another opportunity. The filing states that Bhatia’s resignation is not the result of any disagreement with the company or the board.
HF Sinclair Corporation was created in March 2022 as the new parent company of HollyFrontier Corporation and Holly Energy Partners. HF Sinclair completed the acquisition of Holly Energy Partners last December. Bhatia has been a senior attorney with different versions of the energy company for more than a decade.Â

According to her LinkedIn profile, she joined HollyFrontier in 2011 as counsel, taking on more senior roles before becoming senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary in 2019, a position she held until March 2022 when she took on her role at HF Sinclair. She was also executive vice president, general counsel and secretary at Holly Energy Partners until December 2023.
Before joining the company, Bhatia was an attorney with Jones Day, where she advised on M&A, dispositions, securities transactions and corporate matters involving corporate governance and compliance.
Bhatia and HF Sinclair did not respond immediately to a request for comment.
