KBR has appointed Sonia Galindo as executive vice president and general counsel.
Galindo most recently worked at FLIR Systems (now known as Teledyne F, a subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies), where she was senior vice president, general counsel, secretary and chief ethics and compliance officer. She joined FLIR – a technology company with applications in government and defense, industrial and commercial markets – in 2019.
Before working at FLIR, Galindo was general counsel and corporate secretary at education technology software company Rosetta Stone.
She began her legal career at the SEC. She was later vice president, associate general counsel for corporate and secretary at Keurig Green Mountain from 2012 to 2014. Before that, she was associate corporate counsel and assistant secretary at McCormick & Company from 2005 until 2008. She also served as ethics and employment counsel at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation from 2008 until 2012.
KBR has been short-listed for the best proxy statement (small to mid-cap) prize at the Corporate Governance Awards for the past four years, and took home the trophy in 2017.
Stuart Bradie, KBR president and CEO, says in a statement: ‘I am pleased to welcome Sonia to KBR’s executive leadership team. Her extensive knowledge of the global legal landscape, coupled with her strong leadership skills, will help guide KBR in accordance with our high ethical standard. We are excited to add such a talented leader to the team and her deep understanding of the law will be indispensable as we continue to grow and execute on our long-term objectives.’
