Corporate Secretary is announcing the short-listed nominees for its 13th Corporate Governance Awards.
The winners, which are selected by an independent panel of judges, will be announced at a special virtual event starting with pre-show online networking at 4.00 pm ET on Wednesday, November 18. The ceremony begins at 4.30 pm ET. Click here for more information.
The Corporate Governance Awards celebrate outstanding achievements in the governance, risk and compliance (GRC) fields. This year, as every year, Corporate Secretary received submissions for a wide variety of companies and individuals, highlighting the impressive and often creative work being done by GRC professionals in areas ranging from shareholder engagement and hosting virtual AGMs to entity management and ESG reporting and compliance.
The achievements of the governance community this year are all the more remarkable because they have taken place amid the unprecedented challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. The awards and the online event are a way to bring people together to salute that work and to catch up with colleagues and friends from across the profession.
Also on November 18, Corporate Secretary will host the virtual Corporate Secretary Forum – US, an event exclusively for GRC professionals. Topics for discussion include using lessons from the pandemic to strengthen governance, improving risk-management practices for a new normal, the evolution of ESG post-Covid-19 and the future of boards and AGMs. Click here for more information.
