Donna Miller formerly held the position of deputy general counsel and ethics compliance officer at Olympus
Olympus America, the healthcare product arm of the Tokyo-based technology giant, has promoted Donna Miller, its deputy general and ethics compliance officer, to the role of corporate vice president and general counsel.
In her new position Miller reports to Olympus America president and CEO Mark Gumz and her responsibilities have been expanded to include oversight of the company’s enterprise risk management initiatives. The promotion comes on the heels of another executive appointment – that of Elizabeth Sullivan to the newly created post of vice president of corporate communications – at Olympus America.
‘Human capital is one of the most important assets throughout Olympus,’ Gumz says in a release announcing the two promotions.
‘Both women are role models who have added significant value to the company and, with their steadfast leadership, each has contributed to the growth and success we’ve achieved during their tenure.’
Miller originally joined Olympus in 2006 as the director of human resources. Two years later the company promoted her to deputy general counsel and soon after expanded her responsibilities to include the role of ethics compliance officer.
She graduated with honors from the Temple University School of Law
in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
