Newark, New Jersey-based Panasonic Corporation of North America has appointed Jessica Hodkinson general counsel and corporate secretary.
In her new role, Hodkinson reports to chair and CEO Tom Gebhardt. As general counsel and secretary, she now leads and manages all aspects of the company’s legal function including compliance, litigation, labor and employment, corporate governance and M&A matters.
Hodkinson joined Panasonic in 2013 as assistant general counsel, then moved into the role of chief counsel for litigation, labor and employment. She was promoted to deputy general counsel in April 2018, and was appointed interim general counsel this summer.
Before joining Panasonic, Hodkinson held in-house roles at Avaya, Pfizer and American Standard Companies, and spent several years at various law firms focused on commercial litigation.
