Nasdaq-listed TriMas has appointed Jodi Robin as its general counsel. She reports directly to company president and CEO Thomas Amato.
Robin joined TriMas in 2010 as associate general counsel and was appointed deputy general counsel in 2014. During her time with the company, she has worked on a number of commercial transactions, including numerous acquisitions, and has managed its global real estate portfolio and litigation docket.
Before joining TriMas, Robin was an attorney with Reed Smith. In her new role, she is responsible for all legal, compliance, governance, intellectual property, M&A and employee-related matters.
TriMas has also appointed Dana Pierre-Louis as associate general counsel. She is responsible for supporting securities regulations and compliance initiatives, as well as managing corporate governance and corporate secretary matters.
Pierre-Louis previously spent 10 years at DTE Energy Company, where she held various legal positions. Before joining DTE Energy Company, she worked for Dickinson Wright as an attorney.
‘Jodi has been a key contributor to TriMas over the past 11 years. I look forward to her advice and the positive impacts she will make in the future in her new role as TriMas’ general counsel,’ Amato says in a statement. ‘We welcome Dana to TriMas and our family of businesses. We look forward to the contributions she will make to TriMas and wish her success in this new role.’
Earlier this year, TriMas announced that senior vice president, general counsel and chief compliance officer Joshua Sherbin was leaving the company after 16 years, staying on through May to provide transitional support through TriMas’ AGM.
‘We wish Josh all the best as he embarks on the next chapter of his legal career,’ Amato said at the time. ‘While his service to TriMas will be missed, his legacy of improving TriMas’ governance oversight will remain strong.’
